Paulina Orrantia Burboa
Director of Human Rights and Development Class of 2024 Paulina was involved with the Rainier Institute from its founding and later served as Director of the Human Rights and Development section. During her time at RI, she focused on the effects of armed conflict on civilian populations, civil rights, and immigration. After graduating from the University of Washington with degrees in English and Political Science, she worked as Development Coordinator at Legal Voice, supporting women’s rights advocacy across the Pacific Northwest. She later returned to Mexico City to serve as a Project Manager at Glasswing International, managing U.S. Embassy-sponsored education initiatives across Mexico.
